Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Angel Chavez: 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 CS, 1 E (fielding)
Andy Phillips: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB – 4 HR in his last 11 games
Eric Duncan: 0 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 3 K
Shelley Duncan: 2 for 4, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI
Bronson Sardinha: 2 for 4, 1 2B – .323-.364-.677 in his last 8 games
Alberto Gonzalez: 0 for 4, 1 K – 0 for hist last 11
Chase Wright: 3 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HB – 105 baserunners allowed in 79.2 IP this year
Steven Jackson: 2 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K – 1 walk in last 8.2 IP after issuing 12 free passes in previous 15.1 IP

Double-A Trenton (7-4 loss to Reading)
Brett Gardner: 1 for 4, 1 3B, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 SB – first K in 4 games (4 BB in that span)
Carlos Mendoza: 0 for 5, 1 K – 0 for last 22
Cody Ehlers: 1 for 5, 1 R, 1 K
Shawn Garrett: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K – second straight game with a bomb
Noah Hall: 2 for 3, 1 R
Matt Carson: 1 for 4, 1 2B, 2 RBI
Joba Chamberlain: 6 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 2 HB, 3-7 GB/FB – 114 K in 88.2 IP as a pro, counting Hawaii
Zach Kroenke: 0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K – not sure, but he might have left with an injury…it just seems very weird that they’d bring him to face a single lefty batter, especially one who’s hitting .304 with an .805 OBP against LHP and only .213/.600 against RHP
Tim Lavigne: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
Justin Pope: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 0 K – back to AA, where he’s had most of his career success

High-A Tampa is still off for the All-Star break, and will kick off the second half of their season tomorrow.

Low-A Charleston (6-0 loss to Augusta)
Seth Fortenberry: 1 for 2, 1 BB, 1 CS – getting caught stealing 8 times in 70 games is way too much for a guy with his kind of speed (and only 11 SB on the year)
Kyle Anson: 2 for 3, 1 E (throwing)
rest of lineup: combined 0 for 23, 2 K – Austin Jackson made a fielding error
Mike Dunn: 0.2 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 5 E, 2 BB, 0 K
Edgar Soto: 3.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 5-2 GB/FB
David Robertson: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K – 3 doubles, 0 triples, 0 HR allowed in 43 IP this year…
Garrett Patterson: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K – first time he didn’t allow a run in an outing since April 24th

Yankee draftees in the College World Series
Isaiah Howes, LF, Louisville (12th rd): 3 for 5, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K in Louisville’s 12-5 win over Mississippi State. The Cardinals live to play another day while the loss eliminates MSU from the CWS.

Taylor Holiday and Matt Morris (did you catch Morris’ ridiculous catch on the Top 10 Web Gems this morning?) will join their UC Irvine mates and take on Cal State Fullerton in the Loser’s Bracket tomorrow.
