Man, what a game. Irvine was down 7-3 in the bottom of the 8th facing ASU’s devastating closer, Jason Jarvis, but 3 straight walks set the stage for a Ben Orloff HBP and a Cody Cipriano single to bring the deficit to 2. Morris followed with his game tying 2-run gapper, then scored the winning run on a walk-off single by Ollie Linton in the bottom of the 10th. The Anteaters have won their last 3 games via a walk-off hit; and the powerful Sun Devils are headed back to Tempe.

On the other end, Louisville’s cinderella season came to an end. Big ups to first year coach Dan McDonald for getting his team into the postseason for only the second time in school history, let alone taking them to Omaha and actually winning a game. Something tells me that isn’t how Howes would have liked his college career to end though.
