Reader Mike Addonizio was at tonight’s Triple-A Scranton game, so he sent along some photos to check out. Brian McCann was rehabbing with Triple-A Gwinnett, so that’s him behind the plate in most of the pics. Otherwise, got some quick notes…

  • UTIL Ronnie Mustelier was added to the Triple-A Scranton roster as expected. IF Kevin Mahoney was send back down to Double-A Trenton is a corresponding move.
  • In today’s chat, Keith Law said RHP Jose Campos and RHP Rafael both have questions about their mechanics and could wind up dynamite relievers instead of starters. He said he’s spoken to a few scouts who said DePaula has “premium stuff.” The strikeout rate (15.72 K/9 and 41.9 K%) with Low-A Charleston backs that up.
  • In case you missed it earlier, the Yankees are calling up RHP Preston Claiborne from Triple-A to replace the injured Joba Chamberlain.

Triple-A Scranton (4-1 win over Gwinnett)

  • 2B David Adams: 0-4, 1 R, 1 K — first game at second base this year
  • CF Melky Mesa: 2-4, 1 R, 1 3B, 1 RBI, 2 K — 37 strikeouts and four walks in 25 games … yuck
  • LF Zoilo Almonte: 1-4
  • 3B Ronnie Mustelier: 0-3, 1 R, 1 BB — first game of the year
  • RF Addison Maruszak: 1-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K
  • RHP Brett Marshall: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 9/5 GB/FB — 58 of 99 pitches were strikes (56%) … easily his best start of the year
  • RHP Cody Eppley: 1.1 IP, zeroes, 3 K, 0/1 GB/FB — 13 of 18 pitches were strikes (72%)

Double-A Trenton (2-1 win over New Hampshire)

  • LF Ramon Flores: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI — had been in a little 0-for-11 slump
  • RF Tyler Austin: 0-4, 1 K
  • CF Slade Heathcott: 0-3, 1 K
  • LHP Nik Turley: 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 K, 3/4 GB/FB — 55 of 92 pitches were strikes (60%) … best start of his season so far
  • RHP Tommy Kahnle: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 0/4 GB/FB — 14 of 21 pitches were strikes
  • RHP Branden Pinder: 1 IP, zeroes, 1 K, 2/1 GB/FB — ten pitches, eight strikes

High-A Tampa (8-0 loss to Clearwater)

  • CF Mason Williams: 0-3, 1 K
  • DH Rob Refsnyder: 0-3, 1 BB, 3 K — the hitting streak ends at 18 games
  • LF Ben Gamel: 0-4, 1 K
  • C Gary Sanchez: 0-4, 2 K — so the top four guys in the lineup went a combined 0-for-14 with one walk and seven strikeouts
  • RHP Corey Black: 5 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 11 K, 2 WP, 2 HB, 3/1 GB/FB — 36 strikeouts and nine walks in 30.2 innings
  • RHP Matt Daley: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 2/1 GB/FB

Low-A Charleston (6-0 loss to Lakewood)

  • CF Jake Cave: 1-3, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 K
  • SS Cito Culver: 0-4, 2 K, 1 E (fielding) — one hit in his last 20 at-bats
  • 1B Greg Bird: 0-3, 1 BB, 2 K
  • 3B Dante Bichette Jr.: 1-4, 2 K — 31 strikeouts and six walks in 25 games
  • C Peter O’Brien: 2-4, 2 PB
  • LHP Dan Camarena: 4 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HB, 6/2 GB/FB — picked a runner off first … fourth time he’s allowed at least four runs in five starts
