For the second time this season, Curtis Granderson is returning to the Yankees following a lengthy DL stint. Hopefully he lasts more than eight games this time. The Yankees definitely need his power in the lineup. Given the way this nightmare injury-plagued season has gone, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was attacked by a swarm of wasps in left field and had to miss six weeks while the swelling went down. Here’s the lineup that will face hard-throwing right-hander Andrew Cashner:

- 2B Robinson Cano
- 1B Lyle Overbay
- LF Curtis Granderson
- RF Ichiro Suzuki
- 3B Eduardo Nunez — yep, third base

That actually resembles a legitimate, Major League lineup. It’s been too long. It really has.
