A few quick notes to get us started:
- RHP Domingo Acevedo is continuing to throw bullpens as he gets over his blister, reports Sean Miller. “Today, he threw his third or fourth side, and did a really nice job … There is still probably another side, probably a live side. So we are probably a week and a half away,” said Double-A Trenton manager Jay Bell.
- I missed this yesterday, but RHP Garrett Whitlock was named the Low-A South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week. Last year’s 18th round pick has a 1.06 ERA (2.21 FIP) with 31.8% strikeouts and 5.6% walks in six starts and 34 innings so far this season. Whitlock was a potential top ten rounds pick last spring before a back injury.

- CF Rashad Crawford: 0-4, 3 K

- 3B Brandon Drury: 1-4, 2 K — Bell told Miller that Drury is going back up to Triple-A Scranton in two days to continue his rehab assignment when Trenton goes out on the road … I guess that means Drury will be back no earlier than this weekend

- RHP Dillon Tate: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HB, 7/7 GB/FB — 68 of 100 pitches were strikes … very nice rebound after back-to-back tough starts
