Short Season Staten Island is currently in a rain delay, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be restarting anytime soon. You aren’t missing much, Zach McAllister got roughed up to the tune of 3 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, but he did have a nice little 4-1 GB/FB ratio. If they start playing and something worth reporting happens, I’ll let you know…tomorrow morning.

Oregon State vs. UNC in the College World Series Championship Series for the second year in a row. UNC topped Rice 7-4 thanks to 6 strong from uber-swingman Adam Warren, and closer deluxe Andrew Carignan shoving it down the Owls’ throats for the final 2.1 innings. Cole St. Clair was just awesome for 3.2 innings, Bobby Bramhall…not so much, and it cost ’em. Should be a doosy of a series.
