DotF Lite: Where’s Mike?

What about Jason in โ€™09?

Mike is out of commission for the next few nights. So I’m taking over the Down on the Farm reins for a few days. Don’t worry; I’m not staging a coup. I’ll have a link to the box scores and a few stat lines but not nearly as many as Mike features. Feel free to add more depth in the comments.

AAA Scranton-Wilkes Barre lost to the Toledo Mud Hens 4-3(box score).
Alan Horne – 6 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K – He threw 96 pitches but only 53 for strikes in a losing effort
David Robertson – 2 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K
Shelley Duncan – 1 for 4 with his 7th AAA HR of the year

The Mud Heads featured former Yankee farm hand and Major Leaguer Fernando Seguignol as their clean-up hitter. The Yanks owe a thanks to the 33 year old as he was once traded by the Yanks to the Expos for a pitcher named John Wetteland.

AA Trenton lost to Harrisburg 7-3 (box score).
Phil Coke – 6 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, L (4-3)
Mark Melancon – 2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K – Garrett Guzman hit a two-run HR off Melancon. It was his second bomb of the night. Melancon hadn’t given up any runs since May 31st.
P.J. Piliterre – 3 for 4 – No one else really did much of anything offensively.

A Tampa lost to Rick Porcello (ND) and the Lakeland Tigers 6-3 (box score).
Frankie Cervelli – 1 for 3, two PBs – He’s up to three passed balls in three games this year.

A Charleston lost to Columbus 5-3. I’m sensing a theme here tonight. (box score)
Jairo Heredia – 5 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, L (2-1)

SS A Staten Island downed the Brooklyn Cyclones 7-2. A win! (box score)
Pet Venditte – 1 IP, 1 H, 1 K – This game was televised, and I hear there were some shenanigans between Venditte and a switch-hitter at the end of the game. I’ll eagerly await the video. Venditte is, for those who don’t know, a switch-pitcher.

R GCL Yankees saw their opening day game rained. Their roster is here for those curious in browsing.
