Wednesday Night Open Thread

The All-Star Game is over and now we wait. Two off-days before the regular season resumes Friday night. The Yankees are hosting the Mets for three games this weekend. On this baseball-less night, I recommend Joel Sherman’s piece on embracing baseball for what it is today rather than lamenting it for what it’s not. Maybe in 20 years I’ll be one of those folks who says the game was better back in my day. Right now though, there is more talent in the game than ever before, as well as more nitpicking. Enjoy the show. Don’t let it pass you by.
