Game 162: HIROKtober
Yankees hammer Red Sox in season finale, claim best record in AL

The Yankees are whooping the Red Sox, but they’ve already clinched the AL East title because the Rays beat the Orioles down in St. Pete. It’s their second straight division title, third in the last four years, and 12th in the last 15 years. Things looked a little grim for a few weeks after blowing the ten-game lead, but the division is officially in the bag and a new season starts when the playoffs open this weekend.
