Thursday Night Open Thread

Tonight is the last night without Yankees baseball until … well … two Mondays from now, though tonight’s the last night of the All-Star break. It’s always good to recharge the batteries a bit during the All-Star break, but yeah, I’m ready for baseball again. On this night without the Yankees, I highly recommend Ben Lindbergh’s piece on Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez, who are on pace to have the best season by position player teammates since Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Really great stuff.

Here’s an open thread for the night. There is a baseball game tonight! The Cubs and Cardinals are playing at 7pm ET and ESPN will have the broadcast. That is apparently a regularly scheduled game too. I thought it was a makeup game, but no, they’re playing a makeup game as part of a doubleheader Saturday. Huh. Whatever. Talk about that, the Lindor and Ramirez article, or anything else right here, just not religion or politics. Thanks in advance.
