Game 126: Stay Hot

Derek Jeter will play five innings at shortstop for Triple-A Scranton tomorrow night, Joe Girardi confirmed. Donnie Collins hears the Cap’n may remain with the RailRiders on Friday as well. Jeter has been playing in simulated games in Tampa as he works his way back from a calf strain. Given how quickly he hurt himself the last two times he came off the DL, the Yankees will probably take it a little more slowly with Jeter this time around.
